FAQs
Do I need a boat license to rent a boat in Greece?
In Greece, you only need a boat license if the engine has more than 30 horsepower. Boats with engines up to 30hp can be rented and driven without a license. Our Poseidon Blue Water boats fall into this category and are therefore available license-free. However, if you're looking to rent a faster boat with a more powerful engine, a valid boat license is required.
Do you have boats that don’t require a boat license?
Yes, we offer boats that can be rented without a boating license (Poseidon Blue Water 170). Get in touch with us, and we’ll help you find the right option.
How old do I have to be to rent a boat?
The driver must be at least 21 years old to rent and operate a boat. Passengers can be younger, but the person responsible for driving and signing the rental agreement must meet the minimum age requirement.
Do I need to leave a security deposit?
Yes, a security deposit may be required depending on the type of boat you are renting and whether you book it with or without a skipper.
Is there a safety or instruction briefing before departure?
Yes, you will always receive a full safety and instruction briefing before you set off. We make sure you feel confident and comfortable operating the boat, even if it’s your first time.
What happens in case of bad weather? Do I get a refund or reschedule?
If the weather is bad and it's not safe to go out, you won’t have to pay anything. If you prefer, we’ll gladly reschedule your booking, depending on availability. Your safety and enjoyment are our top priority.
Do I have to book the boat for the whole day, or can I also rent it for just a few hours?
The booking duration depends on the boat, but most of our boats are available for full-day or half-day rentals. Sometimes they can also be booked by the hour. For more details, you can contact us anytime.
